The payoff

Stop deciding dinner at 5pm

Five dinners picked on Sunday. Everyone in the house knows what's for dinner, and nobody asks you. The price is on it before you shop.

The whole job

Ten minutes on Sunday.

Setup is only a couple of dietary questions. Everything after that is the app doing the work.

1

Tell us what you eat

One question. No budget forms, no calorie talk.

2

Tap the deals worth cooking

We read this week's best prices at all three big supermarkets and show dinners built around them.

3

Shop with the list, not the guesswork

One list, grouped by section, priced to the pack. Mark it bought and the leftovers count toward next week.

Chicken deal · uses your leftover rice

Chicken & capsicum stir-fry

Feeds 4 · under 30 min
$3.40per serve
Chicken thighs −38% this week

A worked example. Every dinner says why it's there. No mystery picks.

The waste bit

Your dinners share what you buy

One bag of coriander does three jobs. What's already in your cupboard comes off the list, and last week's leftovers count toward this week, so packs get finished instead of binned.

Why we built kepie

Everyone in New Zealand who plans your dinners refuses to tell you what it costs.

PAK'nSAVE publishes its own family meal plan with no prices on it. The meal-kit boxes and the planner apps don't say either. We built the one that says the number: your week, priced at all three big supermarkets, before you shop.

THE DEAL

On your side, not theirs

  • Free. No subscriptions, no paid tiers, no feature gates.
  • We don't take a cut from any supermarket. When one's cheaper, we say so.
  • The supermarkets' own online prices, refreshed weekly. In-store can vary, and we say so rather than hide it.
  • One quick sign-up: an email and a 6-digit code, no password. We don't sell your individual data, and you can delete everything anytime.
Good questions

Things people ask us

Is PAK'nSAVE, Woolworths or New World cheaper?
It changes week to week and depends on what you're cooking. Kepie prices your actual week of dinners at all three banners and shows the totals side by side, so you see which one wins for your basket this week, not an average or a guess.
Where can I find cheap dinner ideas in NZ?
Kepie builds dinner ideas around what is genuinely on special at PAK'nSAVE, Woolworths and New World this week, so cheap means this week's real prices, not a list written months ago. Every dinner shows its cost per serve before you commit to it.
What does a week of dinners cost in New Zealand?
It depends on the dinners and the banner, which is exactly why Kepie exists. The receipt on this page is a real week priced from the banners' current online prices, and you can price your own five dinners in about a minute, free, and it just takes an email and a 6-digit code.
Is Kepie free?
Yes. No subscriptions, no paid tiers, no feature gates. Nobody pays us to change a recommendation, and we do not sell your individual data. If a supermarket ever pays us anything, it is a referral fee for an order you already chose to give them.
Do I need an account to use Kepie?
Yes, for now. Kepie's in a limited beta, so we ask for an email and a 6-digit code before you start, no password, no approval wait. It also means your plan and pantry follow you to any device. The old no-sign-up mode comes back once the beta ends.
How accurate are the prices?
They are the banners' own online prices, manually checked and entered, refreshed weekly with the read date shown. They are banner prices, not individual store prices, so in store can be a little different. The price at the checkout is always the final word.
